Cigars Selections

Romeo Y Julieta

Created in 1873 by two Asturians, Inocencio Álvare and Manín García, the name of the brand is inspired by the romantic trend of the time.

In 1903 don Pepín Rodriguez (legendary and charismatic character from Havana) bought the brand. It was then taken over by his nephew Hipólito in 1950.

Cigars are now rolled in three large factories in Havana after the original factory has closed.

Gradual and balanced start, a round and greedy mouth on notes of cut flowers and copper.

It continues on a more mineral tasting environment and ends with a virile and satiating finish.

  • Short Churchills, Havane, Force ++ 21,50€

Very soft attack on aromas of coffee, tea and blond wood. Pleasant and creamy smoke.

The power increases in the 2nd third with more roasted aromas and vegetal notes. The final gains in intensity.

Aromatic and well constructed.

Bolivar

Created in 1921 by Fernández Rocha, its name refers to the liberator of Latin America, relating to the liberation of Cuba and its emancipation in 1902.

Now owned by Cifuentes since 1944. Manufactured since 1960 at the Partagàs manufacture.

  • Beliscosos Finos, Havane, Force +++ 22,50€

Soft start with notes of leather and undergrowth. Round and slightly peppery smoke.

The power increases in the second part with the appearance of hints of cocoa, nice combustion. Finished with notes of toasted coffee and heavy smoke.

Rustic and delicate.

  • Petit Coronas, Havane, Force +++ 16,50€

Soft attack, note of precious wood, hazelnut and discreetly peppery. Slightly more powerful medium with notes of leather and bitter chocolate.

Powerful finish. Perfect combustion throughout the tasting.

Nub Connecticut

Sam Leccia created the concept of the Nud cigar in 2006. An experienced cigar smoker, he seeks a vitola where the aromas can express themselves quickly.

It is for this reason that he opts for a short module with a large diameter. Since 2016, the J. Cortes-Olivia brand has owned the Nub.

  • 460, Cap: Connecticut, Sous-Cap et tripe: Nicaragua, Force + 17€

Gourmet start with a sweet aroma of coffee and brioche. Round, light and creamy smoke.

2nd third more complex, with spicy, smoky and undergrowth notes.

Slightly bitter finish.

Nub Maduro

Voluminous and fragrant smoke, touch of pepper and dried fruits. Nice power with a slow and pleasant draw rate.

The 2nd part gains even more power with notes of undergrowth.

Nice roasted finish. Power lover.

Trinidad

The brand refers to Trinidad, the first city founded in Cuba. Designed as early as 1969 as a lining for Cohiba's Lanceros and released to the public in 1998.

2003 creation of 3 new modules: Coloniales, Reyes and Robustos Extra.

2010 creation of a limited edition the Short Robustos T. Then stoppages of 2 vitolas in 2012 (Robustos Extra and Short Roustos T) due to the brand's lack of success.

In 2019 creation of 3 new vitolas: Esmeralada, Media Luna and Topes.

Today the brand is considered one of the best in the world and originates from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region.

2014 new vitola Vigia on the occasion of the XVI festival of havana. Fundadores, 1st vitola offered by the brand.

  • Vigia, Havane, Force ++ 27€

Deep and elegant with notes of mocha, ash wood and toasted hazelnut.

Nice increase in power in the 2nd third with aromas of black pepper and leather.

Satiating finish, slightly astringent, aromatic of mocha and fern.

Rich, complex and balanced.

Camacho Scorpion Sun Grown

Camacho is a label created by the Cuban Simón Camacho who created the 1st manufacture in Nicaragua (Nicaragua Cigars S.A) in 1964.

In 1995 the Eiroa family bought the brand and moved it to Honduras. The 1st Camacho were born 5 years later in 2000: the Camacho Corojo followed by the Camacho Connecticut range then Camacho Criollo.

In 2004 a civet in the USA requested the manufacture of a special cigar for important customers. Five hundred vitolas are rolled and do not yet bear a name. During a Carlos team meeting, the master blender who wrote this cigar stands up and abruptly pulls his pants down; a scorpion had crept in. The name of the cigar was found.
